- Alone at Titus's house, Violet starts talking about all the stuff she wants to experience while she still has time—like being underwater,or maybe sex (or so Titus thinks she is talking about this).
- They hold each other until Titus's mom and Smell Factor come home.
- After Violet eats dinner with them, Titus takes her home.
- On the way, he asks how long she has. The word is thedoctors don't really know: it could be years, or it could be five minutes from now. There's just no way of knowing.
- And with that happy thought, Titus goes back home and does his homework.
