Feed Chapter 34 Summary

seashore

  • Since they don't have enough time to go under the sea, Titus and Violet do the next best thing: they go for a day trip to the seashore.
  • Poor sea! It's dead!
  • No worries, though. Titus and Violet make sand angels on the beach. They're kind of like snow angels, but with sand.
  • Oh, and they have to wear these clunky orange protection suits, because the seashore is so toxic.
  • Titus tries to comfort Violet by telling her that science is bound to find a way to fix her. You know, just like they've done a bang-up job fixing the polluted and dead ocean.
  • Not wanting to leave it alone (jeez, Titus, get a clue!) he points out that it's so ironic that Violet got hacked by a guy whose beliefsshe can really get on board with—since she's got that whole "resist the feed" thing going on.
  • Turns out, Violet's health is deteriorating even more.
  • This disturbs Titus, who admits that he likes Violet. No, he really really likes her.
