- Leticia sneaks downstairs to phone her friend Bea on her cellphone (Leticia has named her cellphone Celina).
- If Leticia uses her phone during school, the principal takes it—that's why she sneaks outside to make the call.
- Once Bea answers, Leticia tells her all about the fight that's going to happen after school. Even though the bell rings, Leticia keeps talking, telling Bea how the event transpired, stretching the story, which really boils down to this: Trina passed too close to Dominique.
- Bea says this whole thing is juvenile, and keeps telling Leticia to tell Trina.
- Unwilling to warn Trina, Leticia says goodbye to Bea and goes to class.
