The Sixth Sense Scene 15 Summary

  • We're in Cole's schoolroom, where the subject is the history of Philadelphia.
  • The teacher asks if anyone knows what this school building used to be, and Cole says that this was where people were hanged.
  • The teacher corrects him and says it was a courthouse.
  • Cole then gets angry because the teacher is looking at him in a particular way. He calls the teacher a "Stuttering Stanley," and says he stuttered all the way to high school. Wait, how does he know that?
  • Cole's totally losing his cool, and just repeats "Stuttering Stanley" over and over again.
  • The teacher also loses his cool (since this harassment is bringing back his stutter) and finally loses his temper. He thumps his hand on the desk, shouting at him to stop it and calling him a freak.
