The Sixth Sense Scene 22 Summary

  • It's the middle of the night, and Cole is running to the bathroom. Suddenly, we see the thermostat going waaaaay down.
  • Something scary is about to happen; we can feel it.
  • Yup: someone walks quickly by the bathroom in a pink bathrobe while Cole's in there doing his thing.
  • We can see Cole's breath as he looks around and starts to investigate. Things are getting really, really scary. We're re-introduced to what everyone knows about ghosts, that the temperature plummets when they're around.
  • A woman is in the kitchen, He calls out for his mom, thinking it might be her.
  • No such luck: when she turns around, we see another woman who's all banged up.
  • She shouts at Cole as though he's her (apparently) terrible husband and shows off her slit wrists.
  • She yells that he can't hurt her anymore. Cole runs to hide in his tent with a bunch of figurines and religious statues. Apparently, that's his sanctuary from ghosts when they appear.
