Despite the fact that Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet deals with adolescents in the throes of first love, the entire experience is pretty chaste. Henry and Keiko don't even realize that what they have between them is romantic at first—it takes some time before Henry recognizes his feelings and declares them to Keiko. The furthest they get when it comes to physical affection is a couple of kisses, and even those are pretty tame.
