Character Analysis
Mrs. Pinchbeck's detestable stepson Fitzmorris comes to stay at her house after Grisini goes missing, and he immediately makes things very uncomfortable for poor Lizzie Rose. He's always trying to kiss her against her will, and she does everything she can to stay far away from him. When the children travel to Strachan's Ghyll, it's a bit of a relief because she no longer has to fend off his awful advances.
