- The Fratellis usher the kids out to the deck of the ship, where Data gets it into his head to take on all three of them by himself. He does manage to disarm Mama Fratelli, but she and her sons now have swords. Even Data can't win this one.
- Mama orders the Goonies to empty their pockets (and mouths) of all the jewels. She then has Andy walk the plank, because the movie hasn't quite played the "damsel in distress" card enough to this point.
- After Mama knocks Andy into the lagoon, Brand senses the opportunity to play hero and jumps in after her.
- His dive into the water is less Errol Flynn and more Will Ferrell, but sometimes it's not just about pleasing the judge from Belarus.
- Mouth and Stef are next up to walk the plank, but Sloth and Chunk—dressed as pirates—make a sudden entrance, interrupting the affair. Sloth rescues Mouth and Stef, then takes on dear old mom and brothers. They are…outmatched. After all, he is wearing a Superman shirt.
- While Sloth is busy dealing with family matters, the rest of the Goonies leap into the lagoon and make for the far cave wall.
- Brand and Andy share their first kiss, prompting them to arrive at the conclusion that Mikey was the one who kissed Andy earlier. He and his brother must have very distinct sets of lips.
- Sloth ties up his brothers, exacting vengeance for years of mistreatment at their hands. His mom wins him over momentarily, until he's reminded of how many times she dropped him as a child.
- Instead of talking it out in therapy like a normal mother and son, however, he picks her up and throws her into the lagoon. Healthy.
- Mama climbs back up to the deck and cuts her sons loose. Fortunately, they're currently more interested in wringing each others' necks than chasing down any escaped Goonies.
