Have a passion for the patent system? You are not the only one. This contest, sponsored by the Intellectual Property Owners Education Foundation, seeks smart videos that highlight why the patent system is important. Videos will be judged in three groups—submissions from students ages 13-15, 16-18, and 19 and over—and the winners will be decided by public vote. Videos can be no more than 60 seconds for the 13-18 year old crowd and up to 90 seconds for the 19 and above crew. Word of caution—read the rules carefully on this one (they are available here) and for cryin' out loud, do not steal someone else's music or ideas when submitting your entry to the intellectual property experts.
