Cormac McLaggen

House: Gryffindor, 7th year
Quidditch: temporary Keeper

Cormac is a fiery tempered 7th year who tries out for the position of Keeper on the Gryffindor Quidditch team, when Ron beats him by in tryouts (thanks to a Confouding spell issued by Hermione), Cormac gets really angry. He is one of Slughorn's favorite students (thanks to a successful uncle), and he is Hermione's date to Slughorn's holiday party – a fact that really frosts Ron's cookie.
