How It All Goes Down

- Raisa is examining "the window frame" in their bedroom (3.22.1). It's been tampered with—Leo must have snuck out of the apartment, though Raisa can't figure out why.
- Raisa's just arrived home from work. She actually likes it a lot better than teaching in Moscow: the students are more curious and playful, having consumed much less Soviet Kool-Aid.
- Regardless, Raisa is furious that Leo has put them at risk without involving her in the decision.
