Entwined Chapter 11 Summary

  • Azalea has weird hazy dreams, and in one part the King is standing in their bedroom looking at the girls—wait, that actually happened… He's back from the war.
  • The girls come down to breakfast, late as usual, only to find the King waiting for them. Flora and Goldenrod are late to the table, and they've got their basket full of slippers to mend… whoops.
  • The girls freak out and run away from the King, but he rounds them up and escorts them all to the conservatory. He says he's disappointed in them, and that he wants to know where they've been dancing.
  • They can't tell him because of the oath, but they tell him that they swore on their mother's handkerchief—at which point the King informs them that swearing on silver is super serious business.
  • The King grounds them and has the slippers thrown into the stove. Hey, now.
