- Another day, another unwanted kiss.
- Also, Pamela remembers that she once overheard him tell Mrs. Jewkes that he thought he might try getting what he wanted by being loving rather than terrifying. So, she's still not convinced his good behavior isn't all an act designed to get her into bed.
- Pamela actually got down on her knees and begged him to stop harassing her while they were out walking. She's sorry for defying him all the time, but she's really intent on protecting her honor, you know?
