Our tricky narrator tells us early on that this dude is of "no concern," but Roxy later reveals that he is actually none other than Tom's biological father. Roxy is super proud of his fancy pedigree as one of the First Families of Virginia (F.F.V. for short) and wishes that Tom-the-coward had inherited some of his bravery.
