- Obi-Wan and Anakin land in Coruscant (the Republic's capital), and Anakin is mad that his master isn't coming with him to receive the political accolades he's about to get for rescuing the Chancellor.
- Obi-Wan has to report to the Jedi Council, so Anakin has to face the politicians alone.
- Chancellor Palpatine is greeted by Mace Windu (a restrained Samuel L. Jackson). He updates everyone on the facts: Dooku is dead, Grievous has escaped, and the war will continue.
- Padmé is lurking in the shadows, so Anakin takes a quick detour to whisper sappy sweet nothings into her ear.
- She tells him she's pregnant, which is great, but now it's going to be even harder to keep their marriage a secret.
