Character Analysis
Played by a subdued Samuel L. Jackson (perhaps it's the PG-13 rating?), Mace Windu is the Master of the Jedi Council. He's characterized by his purple lightsaber and a palpable distrust of just about everything: Chancellor Palpatine, Anakin's loyalties, whether the prophecy is true, snakes on the plane (er, wrong movie), and the Senate's ability to successfully prosecute Darth Sidious.
Because of that last one, he attempts to take care of Chancellor Palpatine himself, but that ends with a blast of lightning and a plunge to his death.
