My Sister's Keeper Part 10 / Chapter 5 Summary

How It All Goes Down

Sara

  • "It's cloudy with a 72% chance of snow showers, winds coming from the northwest at 12 mph, and a wind chill of 29 degrees."
  • Just kidding: "It's raining" (10.5.1).
  • In court, Sara chucks out her index cards and wings her closing statement.
  • She says that "this lawsuit was never really about donating a kidney… but about having choices" (10.5.10).
  • She also says that she doesn't know if it was moral, or foolish, or cruel to ask Anna to give a kidney, but she knows "it was right" (10.5.12). The italics mean you know she's serious.
