Lips Touch: Three Times Hatchling, Chapter 3 Summary

Black Meadows

  • According to mythology, the Druj own the forests due to agreements with man—and they're supposed to stay there. But sometimes they get bored.
  • That's why, on the equinoxes, village elders tend to the meadows instead of the young. Old people don't tempt the Druj. They're boring.
  • The Druj can show up as all sorts of animals, including as wolves or humans, and they like to tempt young people away.
  • Sometimes they even slip inside human bodies and take them for a ride. Then they return the bodies to their human souls, leaving them battered and bruised both emotionally and physically. It's pretty brutal.
