The Gloating Demon
- Vasudev is watching all of Anamique and James's interactions in the garden and is practically rubbing his hands together in glee. Apparently nothing makes people throw caution to the wind quite like a good bout of romantic love.
- He goes over to Estella's house to see her and gloat about how the girl is totally going to speak soon… but Estella won't receive him.
- So instead he spends his time dreaming up grim deaths for Pranjivan once Estella is dead, doing his best to come up with something particularly gruesome.
