Zenhichi Miyamoto

Character Analysis

He is Kabuo Miyamoto's father. He made a deal to purchase seven acres of strawberry fields from Carl Heine, Sr., but he was unable to finish paying it off before being sent to the detention camps during World War II. Heine had assured him that they would just hold onto it for him until the war was over, but then Heine died, and his wife sold it along with the rest of her property (since Miyamoto didn't actually have a legal claim on the property at that time). He is also notable for having taught his son kendo.
