- At a lunch table, Alex, Leandra, and Renee are waiting for Torey impatiently; he has the secret "suicide" note in his pocket and Alex wants to show the girls.
- Torey decides to tell them that he was talking to Ali so that no one gossips about it first.
- Renee says something mean about it probably being boy problems and snaps at Torey when he defends Ali, saying he doesn't need to see everyone's side all the time. Looks like Renee has some fangs on her.
- Torey doesn't want to be on her bad side, so he doesn't take the bait.
- They read the note and Torey holds Leandra's hand thinking she might understand how he feels. He guesses that she is the main reason Creed was jealous of him since she's so pretty and all.
- The three of them read into the letter, trying to figure it out, and Alex proclaims that Chris lived in constant denial of the truth and reality.
- Leandra gets the idea that maybe it was a murder instead, that maybe a boon did it.
- Bo Richardson is at the top of their hit list, because he's so big and mean and crazy looking, and they start bashing the boons, making fun of every difference and insulting them. All but Torey. He is way disappointed that his friends don't care at all that Chris is missing—they only want to gossip.
- He wishes he were still hanging with Ali and doesn't want to tell them he is going over to her house later. Some friends, right?
