Little Ivy has "blond curls" (3.39) and a huge appetite. She's around five years old at the start of the book, and over the course of the year that follows, her appetite remains large enough for people to comment on frequently. In fact, she's the sister who gets the girls noticed in the magic pavilion, since she sneaks up to the dessert table and causes a ruckus.
