- The detectives accidently step on the vlei people, who were hiding in the shadows. Before they know what's happening, Ear, Eye, and arm are surrounded by the vlei people—one even bites Arm in the ankle. He yelps out in pain, feeling their hatred toward him.
- As the detectives turn to leave, the She Elephant chases them away.
- They hop on the closest bus, where the driver tells them that he switched routes with some other driver who had to take off suddenly.
