Sun Day, early morning
- Anna and Nadya meet up with Sig on the ice. They saw him out there and wanted to bring him inside before he, well, freezes to death—too bad no one saw Einar in time.
- They all work together to put Einar's body on the sled and get it home.
- Sig thinks back to his dad telling him "'Know what you can. Know everything you can know.'" Um, okay.
- The girls leave to go get some help, and Anna tells Sig to be brave.
- It starts to really hit him that his dad isn't just sleeping—he's dead—and Sig tries not to cry since he wants to be brave.
- Just then, there's a knock at the door.
