Although Revolver is full of big questions about violence and religion and stuff like that, there really isn't anything in the book that makes reading it too tricky or difficult. The style is pretty straightforward, and the most we get in the way of figurative language are some detailed descriptions about stuff. The story does switch back and forth between time periods about ten years apart, but the narrator tells us upfront which story we're in, so it's easy to stay oriented.

In short, Revolver delivers a lot of suspense and excitement without asking you to work too hard for it.
