- Outside the morgue, Jay convinces Kay to let him take the lead because he doesn't want Kay to neuralyze Laurel's med-school classes away.
- Edgar Bug tosses Laurel around the morgue, asking where the cat is. They both hear the front desk bell ring.
- Jay enters and asks Laurel about the cat. She tries to signal Jay that the alien's hiding under the gurney, but Jay misreads her wink-wink as flirting.
- At the front desk, Kay's lighting a cigarette when ooze drips down from the ceiling. Looking up, he sees the desk clerk's body suspended Alien style.
- Orion jumps up on the stretcher. Edgar Bug grabs the cat, rips off the collar, and takes Laurel hostage. Kay bursts into the room and draws his weapon with Jay.
- Edgar Bug slowly backs toward the window and then leaps out. He GTAs a taxi and demands that Laurel drive him somewhere.
- Jay sees the items Edgar threw out of the taxi and realizes what just happened. He dashes into the street but there are too many taxis and he loses the trail.
- Kay drives up in the car and tells him that this bug isn't getting off the planet in a cab.
