Liar
- Aunt Bobbie comes over with ice cream and pizza, and she tells them that Nikki was in the hospital for a while, and then went on over to the police station to give her statement. She's coming home soon, though.
- Matthew starts to think about how he was talking to Murdoch at noon today, and it's only four o'clock. Nikki claims that Murdoch beat her up in the morning, but Matthew knows that it's impossible.
- Because Matthew keeps asking all sorts of questions, Aunt Bobbie picks up on the fact that he might not buy Nikki's story. To their surprise, Aunt Bobbie doesn't reprimand the kids—she just says that Nikki has always been a huge liar, even when she was a kid.
- That's when Matthew decides to take a leap of faith and trust Aunt Bobbie. He tells her that he was with Murdoch this morning, so Nikki is definitely lying. Aunt Bobbie believes him, which fills Matthew with hope.
