Miracle Summer
- Matthew, Callie, and Emmy don't have a lot of cause for celebration, but when Nikki starts to date Murdoch, things get so much better.
- After grabbing that slip of paper from Matthew, Nikki goes to Murdoch's house with Emmy in tow and asks him out for coffee—just like that. She's a forward woman, that Nikki.
- He agrees because Nikki is pretty and Emmy is adorable, and they start to date. The kids are thrilled because Murdoch is super nice to them.
- And even better, Nikki starts acting nicely toward the kids, too. She's on her best behavior around Murdoch, which makes Matthew feel more charitable toward her. He even wonders if he's been unfair to her all this time.
- And Emmy completely adores Murdoch. She didn't talk much before he came around, but now she talks all the time.
