- A soldier is passing out treats. He's taken off his mask. Sammy notices and asks why. Nothing gets by this kid.
- Some time passes, and most of the kids fall asleep. Not Sammy, though. He's missing Bear, the toy that he left with his sister.
- The soldier from before sits down with Sammy. His name is Parker.
- It's almost dark, and Sammy is worried. He's fearful now. When the aliens first came, he was excited. He thought he might get to go to space with them.
- The soldier tells Sammy they're on their way to a place called Camp Haven. Sammy is suspicious about the whole thing.
- Parker makes a joke about how he's maybe an alien. Of course, we know he's not joking.
