- Cassie and Evan made it to her old camp (the one the aliens blew to pieces).
- Evan hears something that worries him. He grabs Cassie and they start to run.
- Evan shoots at someone from a ravine where he and Cassie took cover. Someone throws a flare into the ravine.
- Evan hoists Cassie up out of the ravine. Someone throws a grenade.
- Cassie shoots at a figure in camouflage gear. She looks down into the ravine, expecting to see Evan, dead. But he's gone. She runs.
- It's dark now, and she runs into a tree. She hears a gunshot in the distance.
- She hears another gunshot. She realizes that Evan is picking the shooters off. How does he know how to do that? These guys are clearly pros.
- Evan's back, and he says everything is safe. Cassie points her gun in his face.
