The Raven Boys Chapter 6 Summary

  • Blue likes working at Nino's and serving tables just fine, but she doesn't like that most of the patrons are Aglionby boys. They're rich, pushy and entitled and she can't imagine ever falling in love with one.
  • A group of three boys come in and Cialina, the other waitress, rushes over to help them. She's not annoyed by the fact that they're Aglionby boys; in fact, she seems totally into it.
  • During her shift, Blue's mom calls and tells her that Gansey has called to make an appointment for tomorrow afternoon. Blue immediately agrees to change her shift so that she can be there.
  • As she's standing there thinking about how she'll actually meet Gansey tomorrow, one of the Aglionby boys comes up to her and taps her on her shoulder.
  • He points out one of his friends and says that the boy's name is Adam. Apparently, this Adam wants to talk to her but is super shy.
  • Blue is flattered, but tells him that she can't. After all, she's at work right now. That's when the boy does something super offensive—he tells her that he'll pay her for her time. Blue gets mad and tells him that she's not a prostitute.
  • When he tries to apologize, she tells him that he's being condescending and that there is no way that she's going to talk to his friend now. Blue decides right then and there that she can't fall in love with an Aglionby boy. Not if that's how they act.
