Unforgiven Scene 16 Summary

  • Will & Co. are on their horses in the rain. The horses seem nervous and uncooperative.
  • The men ride off in the rain. Ned pulls out a bottle, and offers some to Will, who refuses.
  • Ned asks if Will thinks the Kid has really killed five men. Will says no.
  • Ned then reminds him that he (Will) killed three guys one night (in the Kid's version of the story, Will killed two).
  • Will snaps back, reminding Ned that he isn't like that anymore. He "ain't no crazy killing fool."
  • This is some straight up irony. Will is on his way to do some killing.
  • Ned asks him if he thinks it'll be easy to kill the cowboys. Will says if they don't drown it will.
