- Will & Co. are riding across an open area.
- Ned says he's out. He's heading back to Kansas.
- Will says they can get the other cowboy (Quick Mike) by nightfall, and then collect the money.
- Ned gives Will the rifle, and heads the other direction. Will tells him to hold on.
- He gives him back the rifle (saying he's no good with it). He says he and the Kid will go back and take out the other cowboy.
- He wants Ned to wait, and when he and the Kid have collected, they can all head south together.
- Ned says he's not going to wait, and that he'll look in on Will's kids.
- Will says that he'll bring him his (Ned's) share of the money. Ned just stares at him before riding off.
