Unforgiven Scene 23 Summary

  • A sheriff deputy is running towards a house. He runs up to the door, saying "Little Bill."
  • A pile of wood falls off the roof. Bill appears and says he's doing repairs.
  • Beauchamp approaches, carrying a pile of wood.
  • The deputy tells him that Davey has been killed. "S***," Bill exclaims.
  • The scene shifts, and it's nighttime. A large group of men is standing around a wagon, but it's hard to see what's in it (Davey's body, maybe?)
  • They're discussing where Will & Co. have gone and what kind of horses they're riding.
  • Bill tells one of his deputies to go out to Bar T (where the cowboys live/work/hang out) to keep an eye on things.
  • The scene shifts inside to where the women are watching from a window.
  • Delilah says she didn't think they'd actually kill the cowboys. She thinks Will's sweet, and still think he's committed to his wife.
  • Alice tells her he doesn't have a wife. Delilah disagrees, but Alice sets her straight about the fact that Will's wife is dead.
  • Suddenly, a rock or some other object comes bursting through the window, and a man in the street shouts "murdering whores."
  • Alice screams out to them, "He had it coming for what he done!"
  • Outside, a man comes riding up, saying, "We got one."
  • Ned has been captured.
  • Bill asks if Ned admitted to the killing. The man says no…but he did have a Spencer rifle on him.
