Will Grayson, Will Grayson Chapter 11 Summary

Will Grayson

  • The next morning at school, Tiny is over the moon about will grayson. He's seriously dreamy-eyed and they've been texting each other all morning. Plus Tiny cannot believe that he kissed will grayson.
  • Will Grayson is a little less impressed. In fact, he's kind of annoyed that Tiny never told him that Jane has a total twerp for an ex-boyfriend.
  • Tiny's all I had no clue, and besides he has more important things to worry about since the auditions for Tiny Dancer are this afternoon.
  • Will asks Tiny one last time to please change the name of the Gil Wrayson character—pretty please—and Tiny says he'll think about it.
  • Tiny also mentions that Jane's ex-boyfriend is a gorgeous hunk of man and that he thinks they should get back together. After all, Will isn't interested, right? Right?
  • Will has had enough of Tiny, so he decides to follow one of his own rules and shut up. He stops talking to Tiny for the rest of the day.
  • By the time school ends, Tiny is following Will around practically begging him to talk. Jane is with him when Tiny finally agrees to change Gil Wrayson's name to Phil Wrayson. Ah, progress.
  • Will is okay with it (at least Tiny is trying), but he also wants to pick the person who ends up playing Phil Wrayson. That's not too much to ask, is it?
  • Since Jane is taken, Will is finding it much easier to flirt with her. And because he now pretty much likes her, he invites her to go watch the Tiny Dancer auditions with him.
  • Will isn't expecting many people to show up at the Tiny Dancer auditions, so he's pretty surprised when he sees at least fifty people lounging around in the auditorium waiting to try out for the play. Tiny's story is more compelling than he thinks.
  • Tiny calls each candidate up to sing a one-minute song—if they can sing, they'll get a call back to read for a part. The singing is a mixed bag, but Tiny thinks he can scrape something together.
  • Gary ends up getting the part of Phil Wrayson (which Will okays), even though Gary's a little grossed out by the fact that he's going to have to kiss a girl. Yuck.
  • As the four of them leave the auditorium, Tiny is feeling pretty good. Fifty-five people tried out for his play, his hair looks amazing, and he just got a text from his new favorite will grayson. Boo ya.
