Will Grayson, Will Grayson Chapter 7 Summary

Will Grayson

  • Will hears the bell ring and watches another teenage boy walk in. The kid doesn't get carded either, but just stares at Will for a minute. Weird.
  • The clerk rings up the magazine and Will pulls out his debit card to pay. As the guy looks at it, Will realizes something: The name on his ID is Ishmael J. Biafra, but the name on that card is William Grayson.
  • Super loudly, the clerk announces to the entire store that William Grayson is not the name on the ID.
  • Just then, the other kid in the store walks up to the counter. Did someone call him? When the kid follows Will outside, they put together that both Will and will are named William Grayson. That's a pretty weird coincidence, right?
  • Does Will happen to know Isaac, will wonders?
  • Will says he doesn't, but he can tell that the other will is pretty freaked out and not just about the name thing, so he decides to talk to him and asks him about Isaac.
  • Eventually both Wills end up spilling their stories. Will tells him all about getting ditched by Tiny and Jane and the song and the locker combination, and will talks about Isaac. Will can tell that will's not attached to Isaac in a friends-only kind of way.
  • Neither of them can make sense of what's happening. What are the chances of two Will Graysons meeting up on the same night at the same porn store in Chicago? What does it all mean?
  • Just then Will's phone rings. And will's rings, too. Okay, that might be one coincidence too many.
  • It's Tiny—the concert is almost over and they're going to come find Will in a minute.
  • I'm across the street, Will tells him, and have I got the guy for you. Ha.
