Lockdown Chapter 26 Summary

  • Time for more group therapy with Miss Rossetti. Today's topic: what can you do to make someone else happy?
  • Play is up first. He could get a good job to make his parents happy.
  • Toon says he could become an engineer to make his parents happy.
  • The new girl, Paola, says her parents would be happy if she let her grandmother adopt her son. Paola doesn't want to do that, though.
  • King Kong thinks he could get an apartment and invite a girl over for dinner. He is maybe not so good at this game…
  • Reese says he doesn't understand the point of this exercise—he can't make anyone happy because he's in jail.
  • He goes on to talk about Mr. Hooft, who couldn't make anyone happy, either.
  • King Kong sasses Reese, but Mr. Pugh is ready to intervene if necessary.
  • Reese wishes he could think of something to make Icy happy. Play suggests telling her that Reese will buy her a bracelet someday; Toon suggests writing her a book.
  • Time for dinner, which includes potato chips and ice cream for dessert. Sounds like Progress could use a new chef.
