Lockdown Chapter 5 Summary

  • Breakfast again. No new bruises on Toon, so that's good.
  • The inmates are sitting around while their cells are inspected. Toon goes to the bathroom and Cobo gives Diego a signal. This can't be good…
  • Reese tells Diego to sit down. Sensing that something's about to go down, Mr. Pugh leaves the room. He clearly wants Reese to get in a fight, which will disqualify him for the work program.
  • Knowing that Diego wasn't the ringleader, Reese goes to talk to Cobo. He knocks down Cobo's chair.
  • Diego starts to make a move, but Play says he's on Reese's side. He's loyal to a fault.
  • Cobo gets up and starts punching Reese, and Reese sort of snaps and starts beating the snot out of Cobo.
  • Uh-oh, Mr. Pugh's back. He breaks up the fight with a serious show of force.
  • Mr. Wilson tosses Reese into his quarters. He's handcuffed and just lies on the floor for an hour before he's moved to the detention cell.
  • You wouldn't have thought things could be much worse than Reese's regular quarters, but they seem positively posh compared to this detention cell. Reese is there for a day or so.
  • Finally, Reese is taken to Mr. Cintron's office so Mr. Cintron can totally chew him out.
  • Back in his cell, Reese writes to Icy. He tells her about Toon (just the good parts, not the fighting) and promises that he'll see her soon. It's really sad.
