The Reformed Vampire Support Group Chapter 11 Summary

  • The second beast (Orlando?) enters the pit, and it circles with the other creature. Dave pulls Nina away as they begin to fight.
  • But Nina sees the beasts moving like humans, using their limbs as though they were arms and legs, not the four limbs of a beast. One of them makes the other bleed.
  • As the smell of blood hits Nina, she feels overwhelmed by need. Dave holds onto her and talks to her, even though she can't even remember his name at first.
  • Slowly, the overwhelming need recedes, and Nina remembers where she is and who she's with. Then she throws up.
  • The freaky thing is that vampires are only supposed to react this strongly to human blood—which means that whatever's in the pit is part human.
  • Dermid shows up to say his dad wants to see them in the house. They protest that Nina's sick, but Dermid says she can clean up in the bathroom.
  • On the walk to the house, Nina and Dave talk about her blooding experience, and he reassures her that she didn't black out and bite anyone.
  • At the house, the door opens, and a middle-aged man with a gun tells them to come in and go downstairs.
  • The man turns out to be Barry McKinnon, and he forces them down a shady staircase and into a cell in the basement. Then he locks them in and disappears.
