- Back to Nina's viewpoint: Nefley is the mysterious guy they found at Father Ramon's place and arranged to bring back to Nina's mom's house.
- Sanford takes over handling the unconscious people, while Nina's mom hugs her. Everyone talks about what to do with the unconscious stranger (a.k.a. Nefley), and eventually Nina and Dave manage to get some guinea pigs in them.
- Nina's worried about what happened to Reuben, and she's also bothered that the rest of the vampires, who haven't met Reuben, don't seem to care about his fate.
- While everyone discusses what to do, Nina gets angry and chews them out for being cowards. This leads to a shouting match between Nina, Horace, and Sanford. Oh, and Nefley's waking up. Fun times.
