- Nina packs for the trip to Cobar, which also means loading some guinea pigs into a travel cage. Everyone says their goodbyes, and Dave reassures Nina's mom that he'll look after Nina.
- Dave drives for the first leg of the trip while Nina navigates. She realizes that they're going through the town her deadbeat dad's from, and makes a comment about how he was a jerk.
- This is awkward, though, as Nina remembers that Dave abandoned a pregnant girlfriend when he was a teenager. Then he was turned into a vampire and had to disappear.
- Nina backtracks, but can't take back what she's said. So she settles in for an awkward car ride with Dave driving and Father Ramon napping.
