- When Nina wakes up, her mom and Father Ramon are waiting in the basement with news: Dermid bit Barry and then ran off.
- Sanford wakes up with Nina, and they get the story: Father Ramon and Reuben were out, and while they were gone, Barry escaped from his room, tried to rescue his son, and was bit. Dermid ran away, and Nina's mom is freaking out because the money in her purse is gone.
- Father Ramon reports that Nefley stole Nina's diary, and during the visit, babbled about how misunderstood vampires are and how he's on their side now. Reuben was out making the call to frame Darwell.
- Right then, Dave calls, and Sanford instructs him to be on the lookout for the runaway Dermid.
- They decide to also call Nefley and warn him, since the McKinnons' truck was left at his place (but Father Ramon has since moved it… not like Dermid would know that).
- Problem: Nefley doesn't pick up his phone when they call. Is he okay?
