The Reformed Vampire Support Group Chapter 28 Summary

  • Nina was right: Nefley did go to get his car, but when he got home, Dermid was waiting for him.
  • Dermid forced Nefley at gunpoint to drive him back to Nina's mom's place, in order to rescue his dad. Well, Dermid's memory must've been a bit hazy from the vamp transformation, because he doesn't remember biting his dad.
  • Dermid shouts at them to bring out his dad, so Nina sends Reuben up to get him.
  • Nina starts trying to talk Dermid down, and with her excellent night vision, she can see that he's feeling really unwell. She tells him that he's a vampire now, too, and no one wants to hurt him or his dad.
  • Dave and George show up, and then Reuben and Nina's mom bring down Barry, who's really sick from the transformation.
  • Nina continues trying to talk Dermid down, describing how it's possible to live a somewhat normal life as a vampire, and how Dave, for instance, has managed to rise about it.
  • Dermid aims his gun at Nina's head, throws up, and then pulls the trigger.
  • The gun isn't loaded (thanks, Nefley) and they manage to subdue Dermid. Phew.
  • Then Dave grabs Nina and asks her if she means what she's said about him not being like a vampire, and about vampires not being all bad. She's a little confused about what he means.
  • As everyone filters back inside with Dermid and Barry handled, Dave swoops in and kisses Nina. Okay…
