- Las Bombas protests and Mickle pretends to draw a pistol and uses her trick with voices to confuse Skeit, but Skeit insists they all come in, especially because Theo was involved in the problems in Nierkeeping.
- The group is shoved into the coach. Skeit says that they'll be making a fortune where he's taking them, but Las Bombas isn't buying it—the group is still in captivity, plus Theo isn't even allowed to comfort Mickle when she's distressed.
- Skeit presses on at a really fast pace. Eventually, they get to their destination—they're in the capital, and Cabbarus is in his chambers, waiting for them. Ugh.
