- Gemma is understandably shocked by this news. At first she assumes it means she's not even human, but Alex assures her that she's a human… with a lot of power inside of her.

- To keep that from happening, Stephan made the decision to have Gemma go live with Marco and Sophia in the real world, and to be shown no love or emotions while she was being raised.
- He tells her that they made her unemotional by shutting her off from any emotional contact. She doesn't believe him, but then she thinks about how Marco and Sophia have treated her throughout the years.
- She asks him why she's been able to feel in recent months and brings up the piece of paper with the dates on it.
