- Alex immediately takes the key out of the ignition and opens the car door to talk to his father. Gemma tries to stop him, but he shushes her and tells her to hide her necklace inside her shirt—he whispers that no matter what, she should keep that hidden and not let anyone know she has it.
- Then before she can stop him, he climbs out of the car to talk to Stephan. Gemma watches him talking to his father and then decides that she can't leave him alone, so she gets out, too.
- When she approaches him, Stephan says that it's nice to meet her as though this is their first time meeting. What a liar.
- Stephan says that Alex has done a good job of keeping Gemma out of trouble, but that he's going to take it from here.
- Alex says that he doesn't understand why all the Death Walkers are here, but instead of answering his question, Stephan tells Alex to hand over the Sword of Immortality and keep his mouth shut. He's not supposed to question his father.
- Alex says that he'll give him the sword… but then instead of handing it over, he punches Stephan right in the face. Then he yells at Gemma to run, and she shoots off into the forest.
