- Gemma goes to school and tries to put Sophia's hurtful words out of her mind, even though they really hurt her feelings.
- In astronomy class, Gemma and Alex go to the library to do research for their project. He touches her on the back on purpose and that weird current of electricity runs through them again as they stare into each other's eyes.
- As they hunt for books, Alex asks her why she's so fascinated with astronomy. She asks him the same question back, but he says that he's just in this class to get an easy A.
- The mean girl in Gemma's class, Kelsey, comes up and starts flirting with Alex. She even makes snide remarks about how the project would be better if they got to choose the people they work with, but Alex tells her that he doesn't really care; he's fine with working with Gemma.
- Gemma's finally had enough and snaps at Kelsey, who gets angry and storms off.
- That's when Gemma tells Alex that she likes astronomy because she sometimes wishes that she could be up in the sky with the stars.
- Immediately, Alex's mood changes, and he mumbles something about leaving his phone in his bag and sprints off to the other table, leaving her behind.
- Later on, Gemma goes back to their table and sees Alex standing there with his phone pressed against his ear. He quickly hangs up when she approaches.
- They haven't gotten much of the project done, so Alex proposes that he come over to her place after school so that they can work on it.
- Gemma doesn't know what to say, especially since her family is kind of odd, but she tells him that he can drop by at around 4:30PM anyway.
