Clara's Room
- Over at Mercer Hall, Clara's having a pretty good afternoon. She just finished writing her senior thesis project and she's daydreaming about Lonnie. At least, that is, until Jessaline shows up with a cake, which would distract pretty much anyone from anything.
- Jessaline is super stoked about her forthcoming career in hospitality. She tells Clara about her visit to the school and then to Mrs. Murphy's, and teases her about seeing her with Lonnie.
- Once Jessaline leaves, Clara starts thinking about her mom, who wants to come see her dorm room. Even though she's never said anything to Clara about it, Clara knows she does.
- She feels badly for not wanting her there, but it's too soon—she wants to wait until she's been away from home awhile before she brings her mom there.
