Character Analysis
This nice policeman in Dorning is a friend of Theo's, and he warns our main man that he is wanted, urging him to flee. What a lovely guy, right? He knows Theo isn't guilty of anything bad, so he gives him a way to get out of town—so though he's not a major character, he does his part to spur the plot forward.
